Verified Person Inc., a leading provider of background screening services, announces the addition of Brian Schipper, senior vice president of human resources for Cisco Systems Inc., to its board of directors.

Schipper leads the Human Resources function for $35 billion Cisco Systems Inc, overseeing the “people and organization” strategy for Cisco’s workforce of more than 60,000 employees globally. Prior to joining Cisco, Schipper led the HR function for Microsoft’s Platforms and Services division, providing HR support to more than 20,000 employees globally.

He has also held HR and administration positions with Andor Capital Management in New York, a large hedge-fund management firm with offices on three continents. Prior to Andor, Schipper was the chief HR officer and head of administration for DoubleClick in New York.

Schipper also held three senior HR positions for PepsiCo, including leading HR for PepsiCo Food and Beverage International for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, based in London. He also spent eight years at Compaq Computer Corp. in Houston as global head of compensation and benefits and head of HR for North America
Schipper has a bachelor’s degree from Hope College and an MBA from Michigan State University.
