WiNetworks Receives $17M in Orders for the 802.16e SOC Based
Mobile WiMAX Wave 2 (MIMO) Base Station
Shipments Begin to Customers in Europe, Asia and United States

WiNetworks,
a pioneer and leader in the development and integration of WiMAX
network technologies, has received over $17M in orders from various
customers as a result of successful trials. Shipments have begun
to customers in the European, Asian and North American regions
for the 802.16e SOC based Mobile Compact Base Station in the 1.4GHz
(L-Band) and 3.5GHZ frequency. Products in the 2.5GHz frequency
will be released in March 2008.
The Win-Max Compact Base Stations will be used in the commercial
deployment of mobile, fixed and nomadic WiMAX networks. The
Win-Max Compact Base Station will integrate into existing networks
and
will be interoperable with all standard WiMAX network elements.
The orders
include the WiNetworks Win-Max Outdoor Subscriber Units, Win-Max
Indoor CPEs, and PC Express Cards for laptop connectivity.

a low cost, rapid deployment for our customers,” states Mr.

offer the high quality broadband services that their customers are
demanding, and be able to offer mobile services when ready.”
The complete end-to-end WiMAX solution allows network operators
to immediately install a cost effective mobile WiMAX network,
or upgrade an existing network to offer high speed broadband
wireless services.
